You will be visiting all of the famous National Parks of Northern Tanzania, Tarangire National Park with its high concentration of huge herds of elephants and giant baobab trees, Lake Manyara National Park, home of the Pink flamingo and other species of birds, Ngorongoro Crater home to the Big Five, Lion, Leopard, Buffalo, Rhino and Elephant,
The jewel in Ngorongoro's crown is a deep, volcanic crater, the largest on the flooded and unbroken caldera in the world. About 20kms across, 600 meters deep, and 300 sq. km in area, the Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking natural wonder, in fact, the Ngorongoro Crater is one of Africa’s most famous sites and is said to have the highest density of wildlife in Africa. the Serengeti National Park with its vast endless plains and home to the big cats is the migration for which Serengeti is perhaps most famous.
The Wildebeest travel through a variety of parks, reserves, and protected areas and through a variety of habitat. Join us to explore the different forms of vegetation and landscapes of the Serengeti ecosystem and meet some of their most fascinating inhabitants.
Lake Eyasi - The Hadzabe bushmen live in this region, as do the Datoga and Mbulu tribes. A visit with the bushmen is worthwhile and they will graciously show you where and how they live and hunt. They subsist entirely off the bush and by bow hunting. Everything they use is made from local materials, including their bows which are strung with giraffe tendon, and their arrows which are coated in lethal poison.
Day-1-Arrival Day
You will be met at Kilimanjaro Airport by your Bushland driver/guide or our representative. He will transfer to Arusha for overnight at Kibo Palace Hotel or similar. All meals included.
Day 2: Arusha National Park
The driver/guide will pick you up at 9 am, then you’ll drive across the City of Arusha and then proceed to Arusha National Park for Game viewing. . Overnight Kibo Palace Hotel, or similar. All meals included.
Days 3-4: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, we depart for Tarangire, Tanzania's third-largest national park and sanctuary for an unusually large elephant population. Majestic baobab trees are an interesting feature of the park, dwarfing the animals that feed beneath them. Animals concentrate along the Tarangire River, which provides the only permanent water supply in the area. There is a great diversity of wildlife including lion, leopard, cheetah, and up to six thousand elephants. Overnight two nights at Maramboi Tented Camp. All meals included.
Day 5: Tarangire - Karatu
After breakfast, we depart for Karatu town. On this day you will explore The Great Rift Valley of Africa passing through the local villages such as Mto wa Mbu for Learning and Discovery where you will get some time to interact with locals and share some activities with them. Overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House in Karatu or similar. All meals included.
Day 6: Karatu – Lake Eyasi
From Karatu you proceed to Lake Eyasi - home to the hunter-gathers, an ethnic group of the Hadzabe Bushmen bearing similar characteristics to those of Bushmen in Southern Africa. The small people of this indigenous tribe are probably the last living in true harmony with nature and have a wealth of Fauna and Flora knowledge to share with us. The two days are filled with tours and game walks guided by bushmen taking you on their traditional hunting tracks. Overnight at Ngorongoro Farm House or similar in Karatu. All meals included.
Day 7: Karatu-Serengeti.
After breakfast you start on your way to Serengeti National Park, crossing Ngorongoro Highland. Stop at the Crater View for the Scenic view of the Crater. Overnight at our Kati Kati Camp Serengeti, All meals included.
Day 8/9/10: Serengeti.
You will have breakfast at the Lodge before we embark on an early morning game drive in the park. The Migration, consisting of around 2 million animals, is on the move all year round. Depending on the season you may see this impressive phenomenal. Naturally, it also attracts a mass of predators and you may be able to see a band of lionesses gather for a hunt. You will return to your lodge for lunch and rest for the afternoon game drive. Overnight at Kati Kati Camp Serengeti at Serengeti. All meals included.
Day 11: Ngorongoro Crater and Karatu
After breakfast, you will drive to Ngorongoro descend into the crater for a wonderful game drive (with a picnic lunch) inside the Ngorongoro Crater often described as one of the wonders of the world. It is the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and a natural sanctuary for some of Africa’s densest animal populations. It is one of the few places where the rare black rhino can be observed in their natural setting. As very few animals migrate in and out of the crater with its 2000 ft. high walls, you can expect to see lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, rhinos, antelopes, many birds, and other species. With a bit of luck, the ‘Big Five’ can be spotted during one game drive only. Overnight at Kitela or Ngorongoro Farm House Lodge in Karatu All meals are included.
Day 12: Karatu-Arusha
After breakfast, We will proceed to Arusha for your flight back home.
